My name is April Buri, and my pronouns are she/they.
Prior to joining Family Services Madison as a Mental Health Support Worker, I earned my undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and taught high school mathematics in a small, rural Wisconsin community. After a few years of teaching, I returned to academics to earn my master's degree in clinical Mental Health Counseling with a specialty in Child and Adolescent Counseling from Marquette University. I now enjoy using person-centered, strengths-based, and solution-focused treatment approaches to support the youth and families we serve in Steps to Success.
In my free time, I enjoy weightlifting, dog training, and spending time with friends and family.
April Buri is a proud LGBTQIA2s+ affirming/supportive therapist.
