"Nonviolence is a weapon of the strong." -Mahatma Gandhi
Hello! My name is Bret. I obtained my Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy at Edgewood College before becoming a fully Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT).
Although it may sound a little misleading, MFT's are trained to work with a variety of presenting concerns, not just folx in intimate partnerships and families. We work with individuals, partnerships, families (biological and/or chosen), groups, and any other therapy structure one may think of. I consider myself a generalist in the field, meaning I provide therapy to folx of various backgrounds on various stages of the life cycle. I am currently working at Family Service Madison part-time as a co-facilitator for our Alternatives to Aggression Program. I consider myself privileged to be in a space where I can collaborate with other men on how we can all create a culture of nonviolence, equity, and respect.
Pronouns: he, him, his
