Hello friends! My name is Brittany Sealby. I received my Master of Education in School Counseling from North Carolina State University in December 2023. I have experience working with individuals across the lifespan, from children to older adults, with primary focus on adolescents. I have worked in both clinical and academic settings supporting individuals facing mental health and/or substance use challenges. Prior to joining the Family Service Madison team, I worked as a High School Counselor assisting both adolescents and their families.
I am passionate about empowering adolescents, providing them with essential tools to cultivate resilience in the face of life's challenges. Understanding that every client is unique, I utilize an eclectic array of therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Mindfulness. I am continuously seeking ways to improve my skills by staying up-to-date on the latest evidence-based therapeutic practices. I am dedicated to providing a safe, inclusive, welcoming space for everyone to flourish in.
I look forward to the opportunity to collaborate with clients and their families as a part of the Steps to Success Day Treatment Program. Working together, we can create a therapy experience that is healing and empowering.
