Therapeutic Parent Support Specialist

Family Service Madison, Inc. seeks a full-time Therapeutic Parent Support Specialist to join the Strong Families Initiative (SFI) program. Position responsibilities include providing education, resource linkage, parent skill training, and crisis support to parents and families in their homes.

Minimum Qualifications:  Bachelor’s degree in a related behavioral health field and 5 years experience working with children and families required. Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.

Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.

Eligible candidate must pass a Wisconsin caregiver background check and criminal history screening.

Hours:  40 hours per week, Monday through Friday. Flexible schedule with evening hours.

Wage:  Based on experience.

Benefit package available. Sick time, vacation time, and paid holidays.

Group Facilitator in the Steps to Success Intensive Day Treatment Program

Description:  Part-time position available, 25 hours per week.  Working in a team model, this position provides group facilitation, and 1:1 youth support to children experiencing emotional and behavioral challenges.

Requirements:  A Bachelor’s degree in education or human services with a minimum of two years experience serving children with behavioral health disorders.  Eligible candidate must demonstrate cultural competence, be able to work in a team model and have a valid driver’s license.

Hours:  8AM to 2PM with some flexibility to work occasional evening hours as needed.  Position is Monday through Friday
