Teri Varney, Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Clinical Social Worker
I work with individual adults, couples, and families to find their own strengths, identify and change negative and unproductive patterns and create peace and safety in their relationships. I encourage clients to uncover and face obstacles and transition these obstacles into grown opportunities. I use a relational-cultural approach, seeing how each person's relationship and environmental dynamics have effected their development and life path. I strongly believe that people flourish when they are fully seen for who they are and when they value themselves and others.
I also coordinate Family Service Madison's Anti-Violence programs and co-facilitate many of the Alternatives to Aggression domestic violence groups. It has been a privilege for me to be a group facilitator and witness the growth of individuals as they learn from one another in community.
I feel honored to have had this opportunity for over 25 years.
